    Food support for all

    Families engaged in subsistence farming often live in chronic poverty and malnutrition, lacking the skills to get the most out of their small patches of land. Others have seen their livelihoods wiped out by drought, disaster, or war. Through our Animals, Agriculture, and Livelihoods programmes, Samaritan's Purse has helped to provide thousands of impoverished farmers, herders, and fishermen around the world with the resources and training they need to feed their families and even obtain a modest income that can be used for education, medical care, or other needs.

    UEN Mosque Building Fund

    Building and preserving the masjid remains the Prophetic tradition of every Muslim community, and so UEN welfare Trust works hard therefore to construct or renovate as many as it can. Alhamdulillah, it’s UEN’s dream and vision to build and renovates masjids in remote communities across Ghana. Each new masjid built in the future through your generous support will run a maktab, offering a place where poor young children can learn Islam as it has been traditionally taught throughout the country .

    The Masjid is an indispensable pillar of the Islamic community – a centre for supplication and worship as well as essential community events, spiritual development and social gatherings. Many Muslims across the world rely on their local Masjid's for these reasons however, not every Muslim community is fortunate enough to have access to a nearby Masjid with all the necessary facilities and amenities.

    We are on a mission to change that, and with the ongoing support of our generous contributors, we can continue to build new Masjid's alongside renovating existing dilapidated buildings and giving the communities are new lease of life.
    A dedicated place in which to pray, read and recite the Holy Qur’an and nourish your soul is essential however, Muslim communities in the developing world do not always have this option. Donating to our Build a Masjid campaign will help to provide a blessed Majid for our brothers and sisters across Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, ensuring that they can join the global Ummah in experiencing the joy of worship and community that a Masjid brings.

    Our Build a Masjid campaign isn’t just about constructing new Masjid's. Thanks to the continued kindness of our donors, we can also renovate existing Masjid's, providing valuable new facilities and amenities that benefit entire communities.

    It is a amazing experience to go to the Masjid regularly to pray alongside your brothers and sisters. Now, you can give less fortunate Muslims the same experience by helping us to renovate Masjid's that would otherwise be left out of use.

    Over the years, we have been providing support to many poorer areas in Northern Ghana And the support and building of religious institutions which have now become central pillars of their communities. Each building we tend to construct or renovate is designed or renovated in accordance with the communities existing needs with capacity for expansion should it be required.

    With 80% of all disabled people in developing countries living in poverty, we need your help to give them hope.

    Aliu Mahama foundation
    The Aliu Mahama Foundation is an NGO established on the beliefs and principles of the late Former Vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
    The foundation which focuses on skills development and poverty alleviation has over the years supported over ten thousand of Ghanaians through initiatives such as Zongo Lafia, My Health Behind Bars, Entrepreneurial Skills Development, among others.
    Aliu Mahama Foundation was established in memory of former Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama to work to sustain his legacy of a disciplined society as well as empower people economically amongst others. Head porters, commonly called ‘kayayei’, could soon be benefitting from a special initiative to provide them with more decent ways of earning a living.
    The Aliu Mahama Foundation has worked with the Council for Technical and Vocational Training to roll out the project.
    Chairman of the Aliu Mahama 5th Anniversary Planning Committee, Gabby Asare Okyere-Darko believes such initiative will reduce north-south migration for non-existing jobs.

    Fayad Aliu Mahama

    FAYAD ALIU MAHAMA is the founder of Undaglow Empowerment Network. Fayad Mahama graduated with a BSC Degree in Business Administration and Management and Masters in International Business from the University of Louisville, Kentucky USA. He has had over 8 years' experience in Construction and Business Management. He has been involved in the design development and construction phase of modern residential houses and Apartments and a long list of construction projects in Ghana and has more experience to put under his belt.  He is continuously learning the design and construction methods as he works to keep himself well-informed and up to date. He worked at Kilimanjaro Enterprises in Louisville, Louisville metro and Dubtel Communication after graduation. He is a founding member for all (4) Africa Foundation in Louisville, Kentucky (USA), an advocacy group focused in raising aid to poor Africa countries. He also graduated from Henley Putnam program of intelligence, and counterterrorism protection in 2010. An outgoing communicator with driven work ethics, proven abilities in team leadership and interaction with people at all levels to accomplish results. He has attended several Management trainings both in United States and the United Kingdom.
     
    He also doubles as the CEO of Undaglow Group, Vertsen Group, Amana, Frontier Security Services Limited and AFS Engineers and Contractors. Fayad Mahama was the country Manager for Derotech a multidiscipline oil and Gas servicing company in Nigeria and Houston It is an independent Nigerian company with partnership with Wellhead Inc Bakersfield, California, USA a pioneer in Wellhead manufacturing company USA.
    It has technical partnership with a global leader in offshore and sub-sea engineering and construction. It's sister company, Derotech Offshore Services Limited is in JV partnership for the provision of Ultra Deepwater Rigs. It offers comprehensive engineering service from definition engineering through to construction support.
    It also offers exploration Services in Seismic Acquisition, Processing & Interpretation and Supply of Seismic Materials until fe formed Vertsen Energy 

    Fayad’s vision is to lead and direct the operations of The group of companies  in achieving targets through the implementation of sound management practices and values which ultimately promote the development and wellbeing of the workforce; promote good environmental practices and sustain the development of communities. He is the founder and Executive Director of Undaglow empowerment Network, a non-profit organisation to implement initiatives that can help the youth and communities to develop ideas through collaborations  with global networks to create opportunities making difference in the communities which emphasis with the youth, education, healthcare  support, women empowerment and Agricultural support to people in the rural areas of the country. Undaglow empowerment Network is also focus in improving access to education, health services and governance for women and children through community led programs and campaigns allowing them to build the skills and capacity to improve their quality of life.

     
    Anthony Nana Bedwell
    Administrator
     
    Holds a Certificate in Financial Accounting. 
    He has worked with Secpoint Security Compnay as a Control Room Operator for 5 years.
    Mr Anthony joined G4S Security Services as Human Resources Officer From 2010 to 2013. 
    He also worked with Zein Security Company Ltd from 2014 to 2016 where he served as Hman Resources Officer/ Payroll Officer and Petty cashier before moving to Frontier Security Services Ltd, Undaglow Company and Vertsen Group. 
     
    He is a strategic thinker and gained experience from working with Security Companies for 13 years. He is multi talented, multi-skilled and confident. Anthony has the passion for delivering sensible, pragmatic accounting and HR solutions for today’s progressive organisations. 
    He is an effective team player, confident and committed to the task. Anthony comes on board to set its direction and strategy, and support the organisation to achieve them through pro-active, thoughtful, fit for purpose Accounting and HR solutions. He is experience with Payroll, compensation and benefits administration and employee engagement
     
     
    Samuel Sampene
    Director programs & Operations
     
    Formerly operations Manager for H & M global and Salifa Company limited and He has familiar with running day to day operations in the logistics, humanitarian and security for the past 14years aside from construction, oil and gas and has various portfolios ranging from field operations to Administration. Both Salifa and H & M global  companies won several awards and recognitions over the years due to his hard work and dedication.

    Samuel Sampene believes in building his career in an organization, where he can get the opportunity to prove his abilities by accepting challenges, fulfilling the organizational goal and climb the career ladder through continuous learning and commitment.
    From 2012 to 2015 he was the General Manager of AFS Engineers and contractors Limited where he had the opportunity to oversee all the companies in the group.
    He has had the opportunity to manage several of the security companies notably Frontier, Vertsen security among others where he left positive impact due to his loyalty and commitment towards work

    He is determined, not afraid to challenge the status quo, but equally appreciative of the constraints that ascetic times have place on organisations. Samuel  comes on board to set its direction and strategy, and support the organisation to achieve them through pro-active, thoughtful, fit for purpose driven solutions.
     
    Ramzy Ahmed
    Financial Director
     
    Ahmed M. Haruna graduated with Bsc in administration, accounting from the University of Ghana lego in 2002. He offered SAP- FICO R/3 F1from SAP Nigeria (Ltd) Ground Floor Oakland Center, Maitama in 2009, he then chartered accountancy with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2010. He doubled University of Ghana Legon and University of Waterloo, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada in 2014 by acquiring a Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship Study in Canada and EMBA - Finance in Ghana. He is currently in his final year of Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana.
    Ahmed is also a member of professional associations such as ACCA (UK), ICAG (GHANA), CPA (Canada),
    He worked with the following companies:
     
    • Isaka Imoro and Associates as an audit officer in 2003 where he assisted the company with auditing, financial reports of assets and liabilities of the client company
     
    • Afro resources interbiz as Accounts and Finance Manager in 2006 for four years where he assisted with financial analysis, raising finance for Aid SA airline in Mali, MAO fundraising and managing of all the company's financial transactions
     
    • He then joined Villawood Company Ltd as their Chief Strategic Officer in 2012 where he spent 3 years in charge of many projects such as Development of Business Model for Artisans Association of Ghana, Training auditors and accountants of JA Plantpool on the use of Idea Data alalytic software, Training the selected staff of statistics department of the Ministry of Finance of Sierra Leone on the use of Idea Data alalytics software, The supply Installation and implementation of Integrated Financial Management Information System, Design of Accounting Procedures Manual, Reviewing Feasibility Studies of Upstream Oil Production on block 10A-10B among others
     
    • He also worked with Lion Heart Security as the Chief Executive officer in 2015 where he assisted the company shape up their financial policies and management as a whole
     
    • Ahmed M. Haruna is a partner of Acumen Alliance Chartered Accountants, alliance he joined in 2017 and is still serving till date

    Galileo Trading Ltd  in 2010 as a receptionist/ secretary in charge of Travel Arrangement and Hotel Reservations, Payment of Bills (SSNIT, PAYE, AMA, Telephone Bills, Water Bills, Electricity, Registration of New Dealers Joining the Company, General inquiries from suppliers, competitors, vendors
     
    She then moved to Cosmo-tech Ghana Ltd in 2013 as a secretary/cashier where she was in charge of the company's daily income and expenses as well as the administrative field
     
    She is currently with Vertsen Group Ltd as our Executive Secretary where she is in charge of our administrative works in the construction field

    Andani Husin-Mubarak

    Andani obtained his BBA in Finance from Institute Superieur de Gestion/Wales University, in Paris, France in 2007 from where he moved to University Pantheon Assas (Sorbon) Paris, France where he graduated with M.Sc in Economics in 2008.
     
    He also worked with several companies to build his career over the years; he worked with Jules Vern, Jean Baptist Clement a public schools where he taught English in 2007 for 2years, then with Ingenico as a market research on economic intelligence in 2009, he also worked with Agricultural development Bank as a corporate management assistant in retail banking in 2011 for a period of three years. He is currently with Management Aid, a consultancy firm in charge of business solutions, monitoring and evaluation, training and coaching.
     
    Andani is good at research methods and methodologies, he is effective when it comes to time management, he is also good at tellering and team building; he has experience in Statistical software (SAS, KB Crawl, Website watchers).
     
    Andani's areas of expertise are ways in which a country can effectively mobilize.

    Hayde Araujo graduated from the Universidade do Estado do Rio Janeriro (UERT) with a BSC degree Administration and Marketing in 1995 and a BSC degree in Tourism & Hospitality 1997
    She has over the year gained a lot of experience working with several companies in Brazil and West Africa being in charge of:
     
    • Writing business proposals, plans, prepare presentations to prospective partners and clients,
    • drafting and reviewing NDA’s, MOU’s, Contracts and Joint Ventures Agreements
    • Researching local business opportunities and viable income streams for each project  
    • Guiding and leading marketing & sales consultant services for the Africa business division, including leading the marketing and sales departments in Ghana. Negotiate selected contracts.
    • Discovering and exploring business opportunities in Real Estate Development Incorporation & Building Construction with focus in project development with private ownership (allotment of own properties) and control for the buying and selling strategies, after examining the risks and rewards in Ghana, Benin &Nigeria.
    • Leading the business development and operational experience as a start-up project, focus increate a new operation in an emergent market in agreement with the company portfolio expertise (motorways, bridges, thermal power plants, transmission lines, sanitation and water works, wind farms, shopping centers, commercial and residential buildings, airports and industries of various sectors like; bikes; mattress; clothes; etc.)
    She founded her business consultancy service in management, marketing and investments with her experience of over 20years in her field. She has consulted for businesses across West Africa, such as oriental energy resources, MTN, Odebreight, Zoomlion, Alma energy etc.
    She has a solid experience in West Africa market with strong understanding of projects designs, project management, finance, accounting and financial services in this industry segments: Architecture& Engineering (Infra Structure; Real State; Gas& Oil; Assembly and Industrial maintenance), Tourism & Hospitality (Hotels; Apart Hotels; Resorts; Restaurants; Convention Center, ect…
     
    She is currently the Business Development Manager &  Head of Projects at UEN responsible for strategy and planning and coordination of Projects and programs for Ghana 
     
    Salim EL-Mawas

    Salim El-Mawas, Director of Electrical Engineering/Project Manager, is a graduate member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers completion of project management course (GIMPA), he has a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah university of Science & Technology (KNUST), Masters of Science in Building Service Engineering from the University of Brunel, London (UK).
     
    He's had an impeccable career with Dar Al- Hamdasah, a global network of consulting firms. Each world- renowned in its own field of operations, which provides top- grade services in engineering, architecture, planning and project management for civil, industrial and building work. He's currently the senior consultant and electrical Engineer at UEN 
     
    He is also a corporate member of the Ghana Institute of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bahaman, Lebanon.
     
    Nurudeen Yahuza
    Regional Development Coordinator
     
    Mohammed Nurudeen Yahuza obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Information Studies graduated from the University of Ghana in 2019 after his Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in 2017. He also graduated with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Linguistics from university of Ghana in 2015.
     
    Mohammed has acquired experience in the health and safety field over the years as he worked with Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) for a period of two years in charge of vehicle inspection, hazard analysis and organizing safety talks; he has also worked with Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) in 2012 as a research assistant.
     
    Mohammed has also some leadership positions with the Yendi students union (BISCO Branch) from 2009 to 2011 as the President; he was also awarded the safety and leadership award from BOST in 2016 due to his hard work and dedication
